When I initially commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and now

Is there any way you can remove people from that

I'd stay at Mandalay Bay for the pool and nearby shopping. Call them and state that you want a view. It's not a central location, but it is on the Strip. I've never stayed at Bellagio, I'm sure it's fabulous. Get a hotel room facing the fountains. The Wynn is pretty chill with an okay pool. Fashion Show Mall is across the street (easy walking distance).

Have fun!!

Hi there,
You seem to know your stuff so thought I would ask...

I am trying to book a Vegas week long trip over 4th of July (I know, a bad time to go, but I don't get many paid vacation days so taking advantage of the long weekend!) and I don't know where to start.

I have spent weeks reading reviews, tips and advice and have just wound up getting more confused.

I am going with my Boyfriend we are 25, these are the things that I am looking for...

- I am Not a huge gambler

- Not huge partiers or drinkers

- Shops near by would be good but not imperative

- Lots of restaurants would be awesome

- I am a clean freak...just saying

- A room with a view would be lush

- Central Location

- Prefer modern style places than oldy-type luxury

- I really want to laze around the pool (somewhere where you don't have to pay for a cabana, they have loungers for free) and chill out, a relaxed vibe - not party central!

My budget for the trip including flights is $1500-$2000, and what I am trying to figure out is, is it really worth the extra money to stay at somewhere like The Cosmopolitan (for the balcony and view), Bellagio or Wynn?

Or are the Mirage and TI still great? The less money I spent now means more money to play in Vegas with, so just trying to figure out if it is worth it.

I have been to Vegas once before and stayed at PH, it was great, but want to try somewhere new.
